"Rooted in the history of the iconic Antiques Garage, a beloved haunt of Andy Warhol and other NYC notables, Renaissance New York Chelsea carries on the spirit of unexpected discovery for a contemporary audience of spontaneous explorers. This one-night-only GDOD Halo Activation will spotlight past, present, and future, utilizing look and look again activations, antique objects, and bespoke entertainment that unlock modern Chelsea, with Renaissance as the facilitator for the discovery." In collaboration with BMF, MOT Designs brought this vision to life by styling each space with antiques, vintage pieces, instruments, and other treasures. To create the feel of a speakeasy, we fabricated a hidden entrance disguised as a bookcase. This led guests into the "Illusion Parlour," an unexpected lounge we decorated to resemble a true cabinet-of-curiosities. Theatrical look-and-look-again surprises were around each and every corner.
