The Montrose School is a traditional Catholic-based community that carries so much history, heart, depth and loyalty. This event was all about making things really welcoming and enjoyable for guests but most of all focusing on what the mission of the school has always been, ‘encouraging young women to cultivate intellect and character, leadership and service, faith and reason in the pursuit of truth’. They chose to host the event at a Longwood Venue, the State Room in Boston. It’s a gorgeous space all on it’s own, so it didn't require a ton of bells and whistles to be stunning. Since the School emblem is a red rose, it was easy to weave both the flower, and color, throughout the decor.
This event was really all about celebrating their students and it was wonderful to have them involved in planning from start to finish - from greeting guests, to collecting donations, to being an integral part of the programming and performances.
The event was very program and logistics heavy and my biggest goal was making sure that it ran smoothly with videos, slides, performances and speaking from beginning to end. Once the program wrapped up, we made sure there was a great band to keep guests moving around socially - and many danced the night away until the very last song. The energy in the room buzzed from the time the doors opened until the last coat was out the door!
