Canlis Drive-in Theatre

Sometimes MCW Events is fortunate enough to see the potential in bringing others together for a great cause, even if we aren’t the primary planners. This is the magic that transpired when we brought together two amazing Seattle institutions, Canlis Restaurant and our client Swedish Health Services, at a time when community-building felt more important than ever. Canlis Restaurant hosted an amazing and intimate Drive-In experience in their parking lot for two weeks and a total of 8 shows. The movies ranged from Just Mercy to Do The Right Thing to Groundhog Day and The Muppet Movie with 100% of the ticket sales donated to the Black Farmers Collective. Swedish Health Services provided free face masks to keep staff and guests safe, and Canlis Restaurant served up nostalgic twists on their world-class cuisine; think mouth-watering Canlis burgers & home made ice cream sandwiches! The result was nothing short of a family-friendly, delicious yet nostalgic event that brought our community together in a (socially distant) way to benefit Black Farmers Collective and to fill hearts.
