As a sponsor of the 25th annual Music Midtown festival in Atlanta, Hyundai created the #HyundaiBackstage lounge for festival goers to enjoy performances in an intimate setting, lounge around, watch a livestream of the festival on a giant LED wall and enjoy refreshments. Within the footprint were a handful of fun opportunities for visitors to take photos, including an interactive light tunnel and guitar wall. Attendees who downloaded the Music Midtown app, integrated with Live Nation's new Augmented Reality (AR) experiences, gained access to the lounge and had the opportunity to explore the brand new 2020 Hyundai Sonata both virtually as well as live within the footprint. The application also enabled fans to virtually transport side stage and backstage to view select performances from unforgettable vantage points.
