Saks Fifth Avenue, VIP Opening

This was a special opening as it was the first Saks store to open in nine years. The front entrance was flanked by two 10' pedestal models attired in black gowns, Irving Penn style fashion. Guests were entertained by a jazz quartet as they awaited the arrival of the President of Saks. Inside the store we had String Theory, out of LA. They had recently performed at the Emmy's. Their opulent 24-string harp installation originated on the main level with a termination point on the second level rail. The musicians (harp, cello, violin, percussion, guitar, keys, bass) were piped into the store sound system. Dancers, performed elegant, high-end, choreographed dance vignettes in different places throughout the space.
